9 people out of 10 people say leisure time and entertainment are important or very important to their lives. Overall, 90 % of respondents felt leisure activities were either “important” or “very important” to their lives. The highest proportion – 96 % – came from the United States and the lowest – 83 % – from Russia.

New Life to Northeastern Pennsylvania

This morning, Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs officially opened the doors of its new $208 million gaming and entertainment complex. At 9:30am, Bobby Soper, President and CEO of Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs welcomed a crowd of eager players and kicked off a grand opening ceremony. The festivities included a Mohegan Tribe ritual Smudge Pot Ceremony, four world champion parachutists carrying a 560 square foot banner, and the Color Guard of the Pennsylvania National Guard 109th Field Artillery Battalion of Wilkes-Barre. Mr. Soper used the opportunity to express his gratitude to the state of Pennsylvania, and the surrounding community of Northeastern Pennsylvania:

With the rising gas and travel prices this Summer, this doesn’t sound like too bad of an idea. This summer marks the 75th anniversary of the first drive-in movie, which opened in Camden, N.J., in 1933. But after becoming virtually extinct, drive-in movies are suddenly appearing all over the country—this time, in America’s backyards.
