National Car Rental has partnered with Hilton HHonors to conduct a sweepstakes that will award five winners 1 million Hilton HHonors points each. The sweepstakes begins September 1, 2008.

“National and Hilton customers now have 5 million reasons to enter the sweepstakes and book online,” said Greg Stubblefield, president of National Car Rental. “This is an exciting sweepstakes, and collaborating with Hilton HHonors is just one more way National Car Rental looks to reward its renters. Like National Car Rental, Hilton HHonors is always looking for ways to enhance customers’ travel experiences.”

For a chance to win, renters and guests can simply register at 5millionreasons.com and rent a car from National Car Rental at www.nationalcar.com or book a stay at a Hilton Family hotel at HiltonHonors.com between September 1, 2008, and November 30, 2008. Customers who complete the rental or stay by December 15, 2008 will be automatically qualified to participate in the sweepstakes to win one of five grand prizes of 1 million HHonors points.

HHonors points are redeemable for rentals at National, free hotel nights with No Blackout Dates at Hilton Family hotels, premium merchandise, and more. As an added bonus, whenever a HHonors member rents from National Car Rental and stays at a Hilton Family hotel, they earn 250 HHonors bonus points. Hilton HHonors also allows members to earn Points & Miles for every stay.

“What would you do with 1 million points?” asked Stubblefield.

Travelers might choose 66 one-day rentals from National, 100 nights at a Hilton Family Hotel, or even an eight-day motorcycle tour of San Francisco. Points can also be redeemed for a variety of home décor items, accessories and electronics in the Hilton HHonors Rewards Store. More adventurous travelers might choose an experience reward that allows them to test-drive their dream job, take helicopter rides in New York or enjoy tours in China.
